Community Resource Navigator Program
The purpose of the Community Resource Navigator Program is train trusted members of the Eden Prairie community on a wide variety of local programs and services available to residents and district families. The goal is to enhance word of mouth information sharing, as these Community Resource Navigators then share resources within their own networks.
These resources include, but are not limited to, district resources like the Family Resources Program, Eden Prairie-based social service agencies, Hennepin County resources, and more.
We are seeking trusted and connected members of the community who have a desire and the ability to share information with specific cultural, linguistic, or neighborhood groups, along with their own friends and families.
Upon completion of the program, Community Resource Navigators support the Eden Prairie Schools Family Resources Program by continuing to share updated information with families.
The tentative schedule for the Community Resource Navigator Program is as follows:
- Day 1: Basic Eden Prairie Resources: Tuesday, February 24 from 10-noon
- Day 2: Summer & Back-to-School Resources: Wednesday, May 20 from 10-noon
- Day 3: Winter Resources: Tuesday, September 22 from 10-noon
These trainings will take place in person, and we ask interested community members to check their calendars and commit to attending all three sessions prior to applying.
If you are interested or have suggestions of community members you may know that would be good for this exciting role in our community, call or email Reta Johnson at Reta_johnson@edenpr.org or 952-975-7030.
Apply by February 13 to be considered for the 2026 program!
