David Baszucki (‘81) built a career reflecting a deep commitment to innovation, education and improving lives through technology and science. At Eden Prairie High School, Baszucki excelled in many areas as he ran cross country, skied, played saxophone in Eagle Band, competed on the varsity soccer team and led the school’s quiz bowl team as captain.

After graduating from high school, Baszucki earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He began his career in educational software and co-founded Knowledge Revolution in the late 1980s. The company gained recognition for its simulation programs Interactive Physics and Working Model, widely used in classrooms across the country. 

In 2006, Baszucki co-founded Roblox, a global online platform that empowers users to create, share and explore immersive 3D experiences. As CEO, Baszucki has led Roblox Corporation to become a multi-billion dollar institution and one of the most influential tech companies in the world.

In addition, Baszucki and his wife launched the Baszucki Group, a philanthropic organization that advances straightforward but transformative approaches to drive systemic change. Its key initiatives aim to transform the study and treatment of mental disorders, develop regenerative farming and food systems and support non-partisan voting reform. His dedication to driving system-level changes continues to advance progress in many areas of society.
